Thread regarding Kimberly-Clark layoffs

Perfect way to get rid of us old-timers

I'm wondering if Kimberly-Clark will use the 2018 layoffs as an excuse to get rid of more of us old-timers... The management has certainly been doing its best to make our lives miserable in hopes we would leave on our own...

I really wish age discrimination was not so hard to prove... Because they deserved to be sued for their treatment of us...

I will be watching these layoffs closely, whether I am affected or not, and keep an eye on age of those laid off...

I am sure that Kimberly-Clark practices age discrimination, and reverse discrimination. We had approximately 10% of our group layed off in the last round. Of those laid off, 72% were over the age of 60. My job functions were taken over by a 20-years younger person I had trained for 14 months, and a recently transferred foreigner.

The Company has become really dummied down. They think outsourcing was a good idea, but it has crapped on it's long time employees by taking away their benefits, vacation, and loyalty to KC. When you work for basically a temp agency, nobody cares about KC anymore because the loyalty is gone. What KC has done to some of their long time employees is awful. Sadly, they don't care and only look at the business side of things and not the personal side. Someone who has reported to KC for 35-40 years deserved better.
