Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

No real severance?

Am I understanding this wrong or is Walmart not doing the regular severance thing? From what I am reading here, they are giving people a lowish lump sum and that's it?

Please somebody, anybody tell me I'm reading this wrong? It's enough to stress about layoffs, I can't add possibility of no severance to that.

I was given a notice last Tuesday and received a letter at home on Thursday with the total amount of my severance. Also all of the numbers you will need will be in the package mailed to your home. Wish you well.
