I've been reviewing candidate resumes requiring H1B sponsorship to replace staff just let go with the same skills. Is this illegal?

Sinking ship. Can't survive without innovation. Cost cutting can keep afloat for sometimes but not for ever

Nielsen will follow GE into failure. GE is the company Calhoun and Habib used to brag about modeling themselves after. They got out before the coming collapse. Current sheep-leaders are still following the continuous cut model. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2018-02-01/how-ge-went-from-american-icon-to-astonishing-mess

The department I work in is scheduling interviews for people with the same skills that people just let go have. Looks like another situation of laying off older workers to be replaced with younger and cheaper.

Yep across Engineering Departments, many were given to end of the week with the vast majority last day the 31st.
