1000 employees being given packages Wednesday. Company says it's the only way to stay afloat.....way to go Brad!

They technically didn't give severance payments. They gave them letters. But then they changed they minds, and didn't want to pay up now. They are asking people to stay longer, perhaps to avoid paying up??

corporate masters need their interest and dividend checks. and managers want their bonus checks.

profit from people's miseries. GREED!

and these corporations wan the 'government' to help them with their monopolies and privileges like intellectural property or internet piracy etc. for what.?

Almost all head office staff are to be given packages this week, they are asking for volunteers. If not enough people step forward then the next round will not be voluntary.

Walmart just laid off 20K ( https://www.thelayoff.com/t/RuMT4C8 or @RuMT4C8) and there is not a peep in the media... Everyone is talking about bonus handouts..

Sure it is. A housing bubble is not an economy, it is a debt fueled bubble created by bankers and has nothing to do with the real economy, which 1000 people are about to discover when they go look for all those jobs the govt says exist.
