At the PLM side, I know some people recently got offered retirement packages. A lot of long time employees here, 25 years even over 30 years of service. It’s an aged staff.

I’m a fairly new employee, in my late forties, and wondering if Siemens is known for targeting older workers for layoffs. IBM and Oracle, for example, have that reputation. Well, when it happens, it happens. Good luck to all.
Are long time employees, say 20 years or more of service, being offered early retirement packages?
corporate shill response. note the lack of specifics.
I was laid off from CLT facility in Feb. I thought the package was definitely fair and gave me ample time and resources to find something new. I hate it for Siemens and the people there but it's a tough market at the moment. As slow as things have been I'm surprised they've held onto people this long. If it was any other company they would have been laying people off years ago but they like to retain their talent.
in the us. it’s abysmal. siemens reserves its most generous treatment for german workers.
1 week pay per year of service
