Thread regarding Toys "R" Us layoffs

What does this mean for us?

With Larian going through with the purchase option, what does that mean for us? Is there any chance that he is planning to keep the stores working with current staff? Or am I building up false hope once again?

The bid got rejected. It's over! accept it now!

It would be a new company with old assets purchased by the buyer. So you’d have to be rehired. Even in that scenario there’s no guarantee they would want the current staff they may interview others or re interview current staff.

Limited stores would be purchased. It seems to be an all around bad bet. I’d recommend getting out of the retail category to protect your future unless you want the risk of being uprooted from your job every year. The dust is far from settled in the evolving retail landscape.

With all stores in liquidation he is about the only hope left. Good luck.
