TMO Bellevue HQ outsources a lot of software jobs. I highly doubt they will relocate lot of folks. Plus it has gotten too expensive for companies to hire folks. Amazon, microsoft and google have raised the cost of living a lot.

When it comes to the specific job impact of the merger, things are a lot less optimistic. Although T-Mobile CEO John Legere told reporters that New T-Mobile will keep both T-Mobile’s current Washington headquarters and a smaller HQ in Sprint’s native Kansas City, eventual layoffs seem inevitable. T-Mobile has said it will open new rural stores and expand call centers, but there’s so much existing overlap between T-Mobile and Sprint stores that something is going to have to go. The company forecast run rate cost synergies of $6+ billion, and you don’t save that much money by hiring more workers.

This was their plan all along. Called off talks in October, so they could slim up and sell off in the spring. Doubt much will remain in OP. The good news is that KC companies take mercy on Sprint talent, because they know it’s a churn and burn environment. Good luck. Hope everyone gets a nice severance.

The merger that might take place this time around could mean the end of Sprint if merges with T-Mobile ,this last layoff may have made Sprint small enough for the regulators to let it go though. If I was a Sprint employee or contrator for Spint and it does would be looking for a anouther job. Would also give Spint couple more years to exist if that.

William Ersey is rolling in his Harvard-theme coffin! This company went from whitey Americans to slat-eye Japs.

there will be massive cuts - i wouldn't be surprised if the Sprint campus is reduced to one building, where the executives are today. I believe it's the only building that has been upgraded (workspace 2020).
