Thread regarding McAfee layoffs

I t looks like the last of rounds at McAfee were based on the number of years you were with the company. Cut the employees that were hired during the time when the number of employees with technical skills were in short supply. McAfee had to pay more to hire the talent. Know the number of people with great technical skills is great.

So to save money layoff the employees with high salaries, and over 10 years service. Bring the cheaper employees. Not taking into account the number of years it takes an employee to be productive.

Yes, it is true, cut a number of people that were that came in when skilled people were needed, and paid well. Some of the most senior people with great product knowledge. Support will be bad for products

100% accurate. It is a shame.

Raises this year we awful, Ratings of people were bell curved. Cost controls are out of control.

New high ranking people are not all good, VPs of Engineering that used to be SALES guys, or PRODUCT managers. It is ridiculous, Absolutely NO innovation

Aggressive cost cutting is damaging the company and making good talent to move out or look elsewhere as most of the benefits, Stocks, RSU, PTO accruval, ESPP have gone one by one and are left with low Comp and higher medical premiums with sudden frequent layoffs
