They just let go a lot of people in Harlingen with no notice, claiming performance. Several weren't even given paperwork to back up the reason.

Christiansburg site was shut down except for back office and survey response. They will be moved to a smaller building. Corporate rolled up in hummers March 13th and shut it down in a day after telling us they were just going to let us know where we were moving to. We originally had 600 employees now we have dwindled down to very few as they sold the building with everything inside it. We were offered work at home ( if you had good attendance, no consults or performance issues) with 60 days of pay and benefits for a severance package if you chose to leave. If we weren’t eligible then we were walked out the next day.
That is so very rude of you, I am sure if it was your son or daughter you would feel very differently. Dish as a company may be on a decline as a TV provider, however, the way in which they have treated employees is a whole different statement. To walk into work and not know you are loosing your job is devastating. These people were top notch employees that actually cared about customers and resolved issues and had dedicated several years to Dish.
Hello? Get out of satellite TV now. It's coming to an end with cord cutting. Not surprised there will be layoffs.

Find out if Dish followed the WARN law. Mass layoffs of 50-499 people require 60 day notice for a site.
Yeah the people that I know are long time employees 5 to 10 plus years... some of the best no write ups just hard working people
And we are an "at will" state and don't need a reason or pay unemployment, yada, yada. This is sad.
Yep they are walking people out left and right stating we can no longer continue your employment....
