Harlingen Dish Network site layed off over a hundred employees yesterday and around 50+ today. Beyond those beloved supervisors trainers and a manager. This started a couple weeks ago. But nothing like yesterday's let go. It's sad seeing people who have been there for over 10 years who go over and above to make sure we as employees understand the importance of customer service just being let go. People who always have good things to say about this company. There has to be a way around this. Something else should be done instead of leaving us jobless. Us still there fear we are next and it's very hard to focus on providing the best company service when this company doesn't even look out for us.

Christiansburg site was shut down except for back office and survey response. They will be moved to a smaller building. Corporate rolled up in hummers March 13th and shut it down in a day after telling us they were just going to let us know where we were moving to. We originally had 600 employees now we have dwindled dow to very few as they sold the building with everything inside it. We were offered work at home ( if you had good attendance, no consults or performance issues) with 60 days of pay and benefits for a severance package if you chose to leave. If we weren’t eligible then we were walked out the next day.
That’s true A lot of people are losing their jobs a manager told me before he let me go that it wasn’t for absence of metrics but that corporate did a head count and they needed to let go 100 people that’s agents coaches managers trainers but that there was no volume as well and that dish was over staffed
I honestly don’t feel safe going in to work. I’ve heard, and I don’t if it’s true but in Harlingen they were going to “offer” some of the remaining employees either WAH or Sling TV positions. They also let at least one more agent, that I know if for sure go as of 4/2/18 when they arrived. Sup asked them to go into coaching aux to “meet their new coach” then, rep was fired after a few minutes of them being away from their desk.
They just fired 4 agents from my WAH team all Harlingen based. Good luck to all still working.
I second that for a union! We really need one in Spartanburg.
Good thing trump gave them a huge tax cut and all those promised pay raises. DISH ceo owns at least 4 m-r-j-a-a shops in Denver. Lack of money is not an issue for DISH. An executive in Littleton left after two years with $7 million in his 401k. DISH employees must organize a union.
Its so many and counting people that cared... how is it Dish gave no notification???
Dish network doesn't care about any employee it's all numbers ( and number no one knows about) and corporate greed no one here was notified u hope they get a lawsuit for what they have done it's wrong
They stated that it was for third shift workers in the manufacturing department because it was retiring old equipment but we all know that the hopper has more problems than anything else
Was the El Paso lay off for production?
They are still laying people of in Harlingen? I thought the lay offs were done unless you weren’t there Thursday or Friday then it would happen your next scheduled work day . It’s very very sad either way .
They are still letting people go here too it's so sad
Phoenix as well. Agents. Global experts. And coaches
There were no more lay offs today .
Those numbers are a little inflated.
How is it they didn't give us any notice don't they have to follow the WARN act?? Texas is a "at will" state however if they fire more than 50 within a 30 day period they have to give us proper notification...
El Paso is under going lay offs also but this week was the biggest lay offs it’s stressful
