There is a lot of fat that needs to be trimmed at Commvault. Guys sitting at home and participating in one conference call getting paid 6 figures.

CommVault is joke, I use to work there. The culture there is very clannish and if you against anything they say, you might as well kiss the job goodbye....but what comes around goes around and they are getting exactly what they deserve.....the majority of the devs are Indian and the products s—s.....you gotta have a log file for every freaking component of the software.....stick with EMC, VEEAM or using VMWare, far better product.
Now they starting India Support Center. More disaster.
Veeam please take over this company and shut down for good.
Tired of dealing with this daily. This product will take a soul out of your body.
Support is good. But do I need to spend all day sending 20 different logs ??????
Don't I have to do other tasks ???
What I don't get is everything works and applying new service pack will break things which were running fine. Spend 25 hrs week on backup out of 40 hrs work week.
Commvault is a company whose product looks perfect on paper, it ticks all the boxes - you want physical, virtual and cloud protection, you got it. You want DR, Analytics, legal hold, etc. etc. you got it. But when the time comes to actually use it, it fails even in the most basic of operations, like backups.
It is one of the worst piece of software I have ever worked with, fails at every given opportunity. Definitely looks like the development team is either very immature or unaware of how to create an enterprise product. The current CEO seems to be a non technical guy leading a technical company. Hear his thoughts on every quarterly call, sometimes he talks about Commvault appliances taking over the world, sometimes its Commvault will never do appliances. The dude is 76 years old, think he should be in a retirement home somewhere in Florida watching reruns of Jerry Springer show to entertain himself rather than running a technical company!
Someone really needs to buy this company and fix this crappy software. I feel really sorry for the folks who have to go through daily headaches dealing with this crap. So many bugs. Development Team is either clueless or not having right skillsets. No proper testing/regression testing.
Many unhappy customers in USA. Very cumbersome product. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians at this place.
Commvault is losing market share because they are not addressing customer requests around many topics. It’s the best, but buggiest software on the planet however, the way they sell, deploy and support it is horrible. Not sure of their current leadership in these areas, but it is time for a change.
Too many supervisors in Support. Do you need a person telling to take ticket ?? Ok. Maybe. But why so many Supervisors/Managers. The software has so many Bugs. The customer are frustrated.
Need to Either stabilize the product or sale to someone else.
US market share is going down due to Customer frustration.
Lol right reckoned. Listen up spell check boy. They need to fire %35 of the dead weight and just keep the developers. There are people with fake degrees there that have CONned and clowned their way in. I know for sure.
What happened? Who damaged the cones? It will cost a lot of money reconing them. I sure hope whoever is responsible will face their day of reckoning.
If you're talking about the guy I was on conference call with, he was worth every penny and thensome.
Maybe they could trim out your non value adding role?
