It is more than obvious to everybody working here that more than 300 people were laid off this week by TJX, so why is every article I can find on it (and there are not that many to begin with) saying that only 300 employees shown the door?
Is TJX trying to hide something?
Worked there for ~8 years, started off great, but under the management of Cathy Lane (CIO) it went downhill, Where My department felt like a bunch of friends coming into to hang out and also do work together, became a place where backstabbing was commonplace in the course of her very short tenure.
TJX stated 300 to the media, it is closer to 500 with more coming in the next year
Yes, they are. But you could use the "Open Door" policy to find out. They are smart staying under the media radar. I worked for TJX briefly and it is the worst place I have ever worked. The level of back stabbing there was off the charts. All sugar coated in fake, fake, fake.
I need to reach out to some former coworkers to see who this affected. Of course it's never the people who deserve to get laid off that get laid off but I can hope.
