This merger will be awful for Time Warner and its employees.
Most of the expected layoffs will come from our side - and trust me when I tell you there'll be a lot of them.
Not to mention that company culture will change for the worse sooner then you think.

Top performer at AT&T does not matter in the real world unless you know a hiring manager or a referral has connection. Check LinkedIn comments from layed off employees. HR courting millineals and younger college graduates. Take it from a former AT&T key contributor and WF2020 participant and there were many of us. Good luck.
Get a job within the company? Yea right. Maybe you haven't been paying attention, but this company is in mass layoff mode. As to finding a new job, 50 in this job market is not really an issue if you are a performer. Good luck to all.
There may not be as many layoffs due to "duplication" of jobs from the merger ... but trust me Randall Stephenson does not give a rat's a-- about people. He will nuke someone in an instant if he thought it would make the stock price rise 2 pennies that day.
If you are late 50’ish+ Do what you can to find a job within the company. It is not easy finding a job and doesn’t matter about degrees or experience.
If you are talented and have other opportunities, run, now.
