Its all about the free lunch with union pinwieners
All u pinheads bashing unions and insinuating that You have to take the corporate cuts to keep your jobs and stay globally competitive, are the exact mentality that has ruined many a good Union. Unions made this country and by the way there are still many good unions out there to work for. They still pay fair wages and have pensions, not 401 k but company paid pensions. But they aren't for you spineless wimps. Try and retire on a 401 k, good luck! For the workers that want to better yourself look into road construction, iron workers, labors union, carpenters union, power plants, oil and gas industry and the list goes on and on. By the way ge and wabtec earn more profit per year than most of them but can't pay fair wages or no longer offer pensions. For the spineless wimps Keep workin for ge or wabtec and be prepared for cuts after cuts and probably job losses unless you want to relocate at half of an already half cut wage. Ha ha ha good luck! Oh yea but grove city got an 85 cent raise ha ha ha again -no paid lunch - do the math legacy pinheads!!! That's not a raise.
Guys, I'm sorry to say, it is becoming apparent to me that WABTEC is just a corporate takeover machine to increase shareholder earnings and stock value.
What does that mean for us? If you get bought by them like we have (Motive Power Boise) they will gut you for profit, and invest nothing into you, demanding increased profits and reduced cost.
They will now bleed you dry and drive your workforce into the ground, so lean that you will bleed. And they will fight the union tooth and nail to get you to work for as cheap as possible.
