TALENT MANAGEMENT IS VIRTUALLY NON-EXISTENT; HR is full of freshers with little working knowledge . It is funny when a 20 something fresh out of uni is bought in to assess why some experienced employee is on the bench for a couple of months. Recruiting madly for cloud employees even though very little cloud projects are not in pipeline. Projects full of favouritism; managers openly bad-mouthing team members to other members in UK
Every now and then there is this rumor. I never find anything like that in CTS. Yes there were layoffs in 2017 H1. But not after that. Currently there is a very strong direction from top management to refurbish the CTS image that was affected by the last year layoff. So definitely they are concerned and there is no plan for any further layoff. Is there lack of growth ? yes. Is it going downside? yes. so are other IT biggies. IT model was cheap job by cheap skilled people at a mega scale... some stupid people got more money just because company earned in dollar. This model is not working any further. But is there immediate mass layoff? NOOOOOOO So do not create panic.
Sounds like correct action. A public company should never waste their money on dead weights.
seriously, have seen very high post managers dozing off at office while the guys actually put a lots of hard work to get things done are mistreated as if their personal domestic help. Very chaotic. How can someone sleep at office while getting paid so high???? for every bit of their failure, they will find a sacrificial associate and cover their misdeeds, making the hard workers as victim. They never join client calls, and only use threat as a tool to get the job done, instead leading from front.
CTS has this itch of layoff from the 2013 Chennai floods, when its Global Delivery Center was in head-deep flood waters, and went into deep trouble of many talented Architects, PM was sidelined and left the company.
It is a Company of Chamchas. Buttering and Mechanic-mentality.
It will never learn. That HR head stupid guy spoiled it. Then now CEO likes to buy expensive toys (management shops). MBAs who do not know software-project estimation will get for $5000 Xerox project for fixed bid which is actually a Agile-One, with no upfront requirements document.
Hiring is from low-class engineering colleges with less software development skills.
CTS will go down the drain. Hope they sell before it falls, that way they make fill their own pockets.
