Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Accenture Federal- Border Patrol

Accenture’s Federal division has a large contract to help recruit and hire thousands of CBP agents. These are the same agents separating families at the US border. If you work here you should know that your company is involved in this and it could end badly with layoffs from negative media exposure.

Those H1Bs steal American jobs because they work for less money. The only technical skills shortage is for American developers at $50k.

Who cares, Accenture is making serious cash from this contract with great margins. This only decreases layoff risk. They are doing a good job and will sell even more work with the current administration.

to: @TLofeno-zak - Agree. And hard working Americans that pay huge tax dollars to fund resources at the boarder and then often later get displaced by these very resources. Additionally, American families have been separated from each other for years by the welfare system any time something happens to the parents that are unable to care for their children due to illness, accidents, homelessness, or worse. The state system rarely keeps families together in those instances and that has been the case since the beginning of time. It has always had to do with the assessment period of the best needs of the children that takes time as well as the number of available beds that tax payers pay for. I see this all the time in my work as a volunteer for those in need. This site should not be a political forum but instead a pure discussion on layoffs that are anticipated or that have already happened.

Cry me a river, you do know their is a difference between H1-B (legal immigration) and those crossing the border (illegal immigration). Where is the shock that the US tax payer shells out 35K each for these children and US children don't even get close to that same amount of money. Perhaps we can house these entire family with you and other H1-b who feel so passionate about this issue.

This is gaining momentum with all the coworkers I talk to. It’s a big deal and H-1B employees at Accenture are not happy.

This is a huge issue that Accenture takes this work knowing we have a large amount of H1B employees

Oh come on now, stop trolling! This is a non-issue for the majority of hard-working Americans.
