Vistra Dynegy Layoffs Coming

It looks like Coal is dead in Vistra’s eyes. Many rumors going around that all the coal plants acquired in the recent Dynegy merger will be closed and the luxury of corporate support people in environmental is going to end soon. Everyone at these plants or in a plant regional support role should be looking for a new job now before the ax soon falls.

On behalf of all the employees put out of work at the NEPCO waste Coal plant by Dynegy- we want to say thanks for screwing us up the a. When you first came in, you painted a picture that you cared about us and our jobs. All lies. You fired our managers and replaced them with others that didn’t know their a from a hole in the ground. Lies continued and said all jobs are safe. I hope you all burn in Hell for what you did to all of us. May you all be put out of work, lose your homes and families just like us.

Vistra’s waste coal plant in McAdoo Pennsylvania just announced they are closing and everyone will be out of a job. They could have saved this plant and everyone’s job if Dynegy would have kept the plant manager, ops manager along with the operators that knew how to operate the plant instead of replacing them with clueless imbeciles that should never have stepped foot in a power plant. I will collect me severance soon and tell them all to kiss my rear end when I leave. Thanks for nothing Dynegy and Vistra.

The support people in Illinois have for the most part already lost their jobs in April. MISO has already released a study that the output is not required for support, so unless the plants can prove within the next several months that they can be profitable, they will likely be shutdown next year.
