I was not among those laid off but I almost wish I was. This used to be a good company, but things changed drastically in the last decade or so.
Unethical treatment of employees and even customers by some of the managers has become the norm. Ethics Line is completely useless, those on top prefer to keep their heads buried in the sand and pretend their managers can do no wrong. In those rare cases when somebody is found guilty of unethical behavior, don't expect to see them fired. They might change department or location, but that's it.
Now add to this too much demand being placed on us with no appropriate compensation and no chance for a promotion unless you know someone, you can see why our turnover is as high as it is.
Frankly, I think that those who were laid off can only land in a better situation.
