Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

This week's layoffs

Anybody knows any details about layoffs that took place at Nielsen this week? I've heard several people were let go, but I can't seem to find any info on who or at least where.

Also, are we looking at more layoffs in the following weeks or was that it? I'd appreciate any info.

I was let go as well, seems they are cutting everywhere on behalf of a new global structure. The truth is they need to cut jobs (expensive ones) as over the years new competitors have come up with great alternatives and better prices.

I was let go in this round plus a couple of other people I know. I've heard some VPs and an SVP have been let go too.

From what I heard from former colleagues, is that most recent round of Layoffs (excluding the already announced Watch layoffs in Tampa) focused on the 'ad hoc' and 'custom analytics' side of Nielsen. Long tenured employees with higher titles were let go. It's part of the corporate strategy of automating and standardizing all of its client deliverables. Not sure if there is more coming, but any employee working in 'Custom' solutions should assess their long term role in/value to the organization
