Thread regarding Deutsche Bank layoffs

When will we know if US will be affected?

Just wondering how long it will be before we find out which US locations will be hit by these layoffs and how bad will it get?

Apparently, the bank is still refusing to give any details on the announced cuts, so we are left to stress over it needlessly for who knows how long.

Very true regarding workers in the US. We have no protections like our counterparts in Europe. Being “ at will” employees means either side can terminate the employment arrangement and companies do so very easily. Even to employees in so called protected classes. The US s---s when it comes to employee treatment because they are greedy. Good luck to the DB employees. I know some whonhave worked there 25+ years and fearful now of layoffs. Dead men walking as they say.

The US will get the layoffs first. The US has no worker protection laws, so it's easy to get rid of people here. It's much harder to lay off people in Europe, so DB will do the easy pickings and dump the serfs in this country and leave other countries alone.
