Anybody knows anything about this group, Savvysherpa? My former manager (and around 10 FTEs of his) joined the group last month, and this month, 3 of them already got cut! I heard they are doing innovations (e.g., burning money....yeah right) for Mr. Wichmann.

How is the layoff situation in Savvy Sherpa/UHG
Dr John Wilson (Chief Medical Information Officer, Optum) is a snake in the UHG R&D group playing politics, burns lots of cash, and produces no productive works at all. He got demoted from Optum Executive now and now reporting to Ken. Here are Optum Tech, we are furious about how much resources Dr Wilson received, yet he has created zero revenue so far in the past 3 years.
What was the "vile hate filled treatment"? Did you even read the whole suit and judgement? They proved many people complained about her behavior.

There is a lot wrong with it. She obviously had big problems not acting professionally, and your point is moot. She exhausted all CAP issues and stated discrimination, while no one on her team telecommuted. If you are referencing another case, my apologies.
There are many fake out moves within the organization. Understand that there is no respect for the insurance business. Optum, is filled with cowboys. The risk of problems is greatest with Optum. Wichmann is dedicated to complex M and A activity. This includes complex cross border transactions. Before you get reassigned to some obscure new group, you should read Thomas v. United Health Group. This woman had 7 years with the company and she requested a laptop so that she could telecommute. UNH subjected this woman to the most vile hate filled treatment. What was the problem? Requesting a laptop. You are dealing with very deranged individuals. Intimidation is the watchword. When there is massive intimidation you cannot predict the end result.
