I had applied for a lower level position doing charge-backs in a building close to HQ, I was hoping to "get my foot in the door" as they say, so I was willing to consider this lower level position, even though it was below me. Prior to the interview, I did research on the company, I was shocked to learn of possible ethics violation this company had in regards to the opiate d--g problems that are plaguing Ohio. Also, I had feeling this company had no loyalty to its employees, they would layoff hard working employees if they wanted to, even if top management was responsible for the poor performance of the company. Upper management would be able to keep their jobs of course. I decided I didn't want this sh--ty job. Life is too shot to slave away at a job with the false hope of moving up in a company like this. I didn't take the carrot and the stick trickery.
