I and other people got lay-off yesterday. We were in the IT Operation of Global Investment Division in Toronto. We were required to train many IT outsource people from India since October 2018 for them to do our works. The Indian outsourcing company is CapGemini who has been replacing the other Indian outsourcing company who is Syntel. Then after those Indian contractors got up and have been running the IT support operations comfortably nowadays in June 2019, we were let go on June 20, 2019. It was sad to work in Manulife. I should have gone to other interviews in other companies when I interviewed with Manulife for this job.
