Do you think there will be GlaxoSmithKline Layoffs in 2019?

Many scientists at Stevenage and Ware being 'let go', 'made redundant', 'looking for opportunities elsewhere', 'getting sacked', 'getting fired', 'getting whacked', etc. etc. You know when you been 'rightsized'. Unfortunately GSK does this every couple of years and then rinse and repeat with a different bland moniker.
in 2019, GSK has laid off hundreds of works from finance and IT groups in March and April 2019. Some of these folks have a mini parachute but not a true golden parachute. Others are either new employees with no ample time in the company. Why is it that that need have more than 25 years in the company keep there jobs and don't take the parachute? Get the young employed who may have a new way to think and help the company become innovative. Keep old timers around is not good when they have saved a fortune and no children to support. It figures that the higher you are to make a case for your job and to remove those below. Bad Judgments in leadership at the top level. They care about stock not people.
Clearly you are new. GSK ALWAYS lays off it's workers. They mean nothing to the management.
A bunch of people in Memphis
