Have you heard anything about potential Iron Mountain Layoffs in 2019?

I was affected early 2019 - totally took me by surprise. Was pretty p-ss-d off. Not the company I was hired into. Oh well. They will crumble. Slow to change. Cutting heads isn’t always the solution
29 years and fired last month without cause. Worked hard for them every day - never missed a day of work. OK severance but if do this to best staff just because paid more well has me so sad that invested all this time with them. Thought would have back but just a bunch a– hats. If you let good people go you just won’t survive in this new world.
Was glad to have been laid off. IRM works employees very hard, but does compensate fairly.
Mid to upper Management has yet to graduate from High School. IRM clients are running fast. I don't blame. Customer Service is a joke.
I left the company about a month ago. missed the cuts. it was not at all like the company I began working for almost 10 years ago. I used to feel valued and needed. When I left, I was nothing more than a number and a salary. Bill Meany is slowly destroying the company and will walk away with his fat bonus while the company will be lucky to not go bankrupt. I realize he is spinning this to be a cost savings when it is only just masking the real problem of a dying industry where senior leadership refuse to change with the times. I really hope some of the good people I left behind are making plans for life after the mountain. Good luck and God bless to all those affected by the layoff.
Very sorry to hear of this. I know the loss of a job can be emotional especially for someone who has been with a company for several years. At the same time, please be aware that Shred-it is currently looking for seasoned sales professionals in the NYC area. https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/1538181268
Best of luck, All!
Yup ... my last day was this past week. Not by my choice. Lots of demotions on top of layoffs
Company doesn’t care about its employees. Everyone is just a number. It doesn’t matter what you’ve contributed. They used to be a good company who care about employees and their families. Some managers still care but corporate doesn’t. Hourly wages are competitive. They’re slashing jobs and justify actions by offering severance package while ceo is bragging about saving 50 million dollars from all those cuts
Can also confirm. I was part of the 700. Company is getting rid of strong tenured leaders
Can confirm 700 laid off at VP and Director level. After almost 20 years I was told this week I’m being let go.
Just announced on Oct 31 700 jobs to be cut . 45% VP and Higher. 10% Managerial and Administration
K--ling most of the Iron Cloud services, immediately, for the.... 3rd? Time.
Totally cut Dell / EMC off at the knees without warning (most of Iron Cloud built on EMC gear), who had just gone all-in with IRM as their lead CSP, so they're p*ssed.
Dropping existing customers, those in process of being implemented holding a bag
Bad to have Dell / EMC as a competitor - which they now are after this
WORSE to have them p-ss-d at you, so that's a big problem going forward for customers who are both Dell / EMC and IRM customers (read: every enterprise) when Dell / EMC reps start pushing their customers to IBM and other IRM competitors.
Apparently IRM believes it can be relevant / leader in the "content delivery / analytics" game.
Good Luck with that.
Funny this hasn't hit Wall St yet...
Can confirm. Was one of those hit.
May 24th, 2019 Just heard they no longer sell Cloud and eliminated that offering. Whole cloud team is laid off, Still waiting on numbers,
