End of q3 is not 10/31 lol ... but I get the idea. Maybe this was to apply for q4?
These reductions will typically happen near the end of quarterly earnings periods. They want to show the shareholders they are serious about cost savings during this buyout. Notice how these employees last full day was also the last day of Q3 (10/31).
They will most likely do small waves each quarter until they are satisfied with the numbers. Having one big layoff at once could cause disruption to business operations.
I was a little surprised since IT had so many job openings. Do you think there’s another wave at the beginning of the year?
