What Regions is doing and has been doing is not investing in their people anymore. They stopped. They say that employees asked for the change but I’m not sure what employees they are talking about. It certainly is not the retail side. They were the backbone of their operations but now they get treated like trash.

Regions has now went to the phase of 'computer' review on all employee reviews. If you meet your 'sales' goals.. you get a good report. The branch manager can not imput on your reviews. If you don't meet the goals, you get write ups, a bad review, possibly much more. It's getting to the point, no one wants to work for Regions. They best wake up and realize they are losing good employees, but doing away with their core values. Not a good place to work!
Regions did, but AmSouth didn't. Complete change when those a--holes who couldn't run their own bank took over.
Regions does not care about their employees, and never did. Now that the government has loosened the leash on banks, they are simply showing who they really are. Regions is not a good employer for those that have families, which is why they are targeting youngsters that do not have a family to care for. Everyone is short-staffed and overworked, yet they are giving everyone unattainable goals so that they can justify demoting and firing who they don't like. Regions' upper management is pushing products like Wells Fargo, but they are doing it with the "speak softly, but carry a big stick" approach. Believe me when I tell you that upper management are some elitist, condescending, racist, snobs..... But they are all very active in their churches. Scary times.....
I really doubt that employees asked for this change of being demoted and ignored by management. They assign goals and tell people that they will get fired or demoted if they do not meet them, but do not coach to attain the goals because they don't want to be accused of pushing sales. Every branch and department is doing their own thing right now, and it's scary.
