Thread regarding Swedish Medical Center Seattle layoffs

Restore Outpatient Rehabilitation

I am one of the many PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, not mentioned, who got laid off. Swedish cut 75% of their physical therapy (PT) service. Good luck trying to get in to a physical therapist in Western Washington ever again.

And, of course, they laid off all the highest earning PTs first. After 30 years of being highly productive and sought after, I'm fired. And it's not likely 20 of us will find jobs with benefits anytime soon.

If you still have access to healthcare now, consider yourself WEALTHY. Because even us healthcare workers no longer have jobs with benefits!

If you care, contact Swedish CEO: reuben.hudson@swedish.org (206)320-3543

and tell him to Restore Outpatient Rehabilitation! Thank you!

As a physical therapist in Seattle I am saddened to hear so many are losing their jobs and benefits. I am a solo practitioner in Seattle, and would like to hire some part time clinicians who would like an opportunity to develop their clinical interest in expertise in a one-to-one, deeply caring outpatient setting that also offers the opportunity to see patients in their home, under the category of outpatient in the home. Small comfort but maybe it will suit somebody and help through this transition.
