Thread regarding Infosys layoffs

Infosys heavily into doing fake interviews in the US

Ok Infosys once paid 34 million for visa fraud.

Now with trump in office not enough h1bs are issued. So Infosys crooks have come up with a novel way to do fraud. This is difficult to prove..

They find US citizens of Indian descent and conduct fake interviews .. but no recruitment will ever happen .. just to build that case to say “hey we can’t get anyone here. Please let’s get from India ” I know of a person who has been targeted continuously .. and the questions are really very easy.. the tone of the interviewers is very relaxed. And after the interview you will never hear from the hr rep again.. not even a regret email

New H1B's are very hard to get and we have a US Law Firm closely monitoring the hiring process in the US. Infosys is recruiting from college campuses and using LinkedIn and other recruiting sites to identify talent. I have participated in the interview process for both. What I have seen, which I totally disagree with, is the hiring of sub contractors who do not require sponsorship because they are here on existing Visa's. We have tons of American employees sitting on the bench that should be engaged BEFORE a sub contractor is ever hired. That's the way Infosys is circumventing the Visa issue!

Actually what original Poster said is true. HR called soon after applying for job, setup interview immediately. Interview was very general with easy technical questions. Never heard back from HR even after repeated attempts to contact them. No rejection emails. It seems like Infosys is keeping up its name as fraud company. USCIS has a hotline.

Actually not true - Infosys is hiring many Americans that are seasoned however the expectation is that the candidate will uplift their family and relocate across the country for a short term project. The seasoned American worker isn;t going to do this unless the salary is much larger than what they can get at home, and this is never the case. Still, they are hiring Americans and they are recruiting people from college campuses. I have not heard of ANYONE coming from India recently on a new Visa. They simply aren't getting approved by the US government right now.

cause they dont complain.

funny thing about indian firms is that they are applying visa for those technologies which they claim as outdated to justify layoff of IT pros in India. they are fooling Indian government as well as American government.
