Houston's mayor makes more than $200,000 a year for doing what? How about laying off all those do-nothing bureaucrats instead of the important firefighters?

The Mayor can layoff but not all FIREFIGHTERS. That would be retaliation. For every 1 firefighter he would have to layoff 1 person out of each dept. such police, zoo, his office, parks, metro, & etc. It has to be equal in each department. Or get ready for lots of lawsuits

This is straight retaliation against Firefighters. Not once did he say I will do my best to find money or funding, but rather straight to layoffs.
