Thread regarding McDermott International Inc. layoffs

Lummus destroyed CB&I

Lummus destroyed CB&I and they will do the same at McDermott if you let them. Better drop them like a hot potato. Lummus thinks they know everything and they are to stupid to listen.

They came to CB&I with all of these big ideas. All they did was run CB&I into the ground. They hire losers, look at the Houston office. What a joke for a engineering company. Feel sorry for the existing and past projects, starting with Reficar. Hope your people know what is going on, CB&I does not.

-5ujf, how is that different from MDR. The paid 4 billions to get CBI? Now MDR CBI market cap is not half that. Lummus guys must be thinking if these mor ons can do it so can we. Just remember to add the garnish that makes any turd look palatable, a Scottish accent.

Not really asking a question, "no pull through?" I was calling out what DD said about selling tanks&pipes. No pull through to Big EC contracts he said. But we're keeping Lummus because we get pull through on Lummus, he farted out the lying hole in his face. But really MDR are keeping Lummus because MDR way overpaid for us and don't want a loss. A loss would chew up equity and bring MDR closer to BANKRUPTCY. And they would look like the clueless f---s they are if they had to undo the buyout.

Didn't the board fire these jokers?

No pull through? Where you asking a question?

Or stating: No pull through

The later would be correct

CB&I Houston engineering is a disgrace to the engineering profession. Management needs to step up to the plate before someone gets hurt.

With the exception of ethylene - Lummus has been third rate option to leaders like axens, uop, topsoe etc.. then to top it off, they never let CBI attach engineering and construction to any of the licenses. I don’t see your point of how Lummus destroyed cbi as it was run like 2 separate companies for the most part. Fully agree that E&C and all involved seem to keep on dropping the ball.

The legacy CB&I management was a bunch of incompetent fools and few were also dishonest.

It surprises me how many of these so called smart Alecs have repeated mistakes in aquisition one after other.

Had Lummus not been with CB&I, it would have been very difficult for CB&I to sustain. However I agree that Houston engineers are of questionable intelligence whether Lummus or CB&I. Tyler is even worse.

Asher......., where did he come from? from the original CB&I? No, from Shaw? No, he was rooted there after Lummus "acquisition" as well the rest of collateral damages called VPs who destroyed it and gave the final stab when acquired Shaw Group.

@W6KKnEd-aaf - agreed, there is market data to prove it.

LOL! It’s Asherman and Shaw acquisition that destroyed CB&I, without Lummus, CB&I would have belly up much earlier.
