Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Drip by drip redundancy at Nielsen

Its drip by drip on Redundancy - a small amount of employees leave each week from the major site I work from - this has been happening for weeks

Also company is not telling the truth - Blaming GDPR on financial results - this is not true as most BUY deals are of consolidated numbers such as Sales, Volumes , Units -etc

So the level of detail has been harmonised -

Connected system is miles late and we are still trying with "GTC" which has stalled and no new sales are happening even though we have a pipeline with many names. Worked here over 10 years and never seen the moral so low. Am holding out until I get my redundancy - In the UK its 4 weeks for each year served plus holidays - also I want to see the year out which will trigger my bonus paid before April and next fiscal. Management have little idea here and after my 10 years I just try to work from home and send email after email - its all pretty pointless and I have lost the faith

RMS - Just been told that our largest client in BUY division no longer rates our RMS data set - Unilever world wide worth $400 million plus over 5 years.

They feel the data is out of date and not helping them make decisions - I have to agree as many databases are Monthly or Bi-Monthly and do not often include Digital channels. Unilever however are using Nielsen along with others also they are not harmonised and delivered in a 20 year old format where modern tools cannot access the data set.

This message is also coming from our other big clients such as Coke , Pepsi , Mars

Management must hold hands up on this as we have good staff here - but so many are being made redundant and/ or leaving

I have worked here over 8 years - am a white male and not valued by the ERG programs we run - feel I must just take the money and keep quiet. The company will be sold or broken up and the BUY business is totally f*ed (sorry for ****)

But we now have a new CEO - from IBM - our current platform is Oracle and our future one is Microsoft - has to make sense :)
