Thread regarding Rent-A-Center Inc. layoffs

We need managers

As a manager at my store, I work my butt off to be able to best serve my customers. My store is growing leaps and bounds right now due to that store-customer relationship and the fact that my 2 competitors in town do not care about the customer, nor do they have an ounce of integrity in their bones. I truly feel sorry for my customers should I be edged out of my position and merged with another RTO. I also feel awful for my employees who look to me for guidance and know that I do everything in my power to maintain profit for our store while being a servant to my customers. Without them, I would not have had a job to worry about losing.

I agree, very similar situation with Acceptance Now division of Rent A Center. It seems like, there is a much bigger storm might be about to take place within next 30 to 60 days companywide!

District managers and Regional managers acts kind of unusual and in an artificial perky happiness mood. Almost makes you feel like to question, what's hiding behind all that? I think, someone mentioned that the company is closing regional service locations soon. Who knows how many employees will loose their jobs, specially the holidays are just around the corner.

Sad but true !!!
