Why are people surprised or shocked when layoffs happen at MetLife? Where have you been for the past several years?
Layoffs are a part of life here nowadays. Job security is nonexistent. And that's only the tip of the iceberg.
Ridiculously low raises (if that,) bonuses that are a joke and do not come close to being enough for the work done, being stuck in the same position for years without any chance of advancement... I could go on and on.
This might have been a good place to work once, but it certainly isn't so now.
