Since we had no horror stories at our service center, unlike the ones we are reading about on this thread. It makes us wonder why there are only a “few” good employees you know at the Cincy NPS center. Sounds like some other employees are fed up with the silliness that happens there!

Not everyone at Cincy NPS is dishonest. Think about the honest employees that have families to take care of and don't need their names ran into the ground and they are trying to find new jobs. I know a few employees that never stole anything, did not cheat company time and didn't take part in this non sense. Can't you think of a few. Stop being so butthurt, your not the only ones suffering from this.

Situation, situation! Sounds like some "loyal" nps works are taking advantage of the situation. Only thing that I've read are dishonest employees are now losing their jobs and occurrences are now coming out in our final days of employment @ RAC NPS!

Sure - it is not a perfect situation but it should not be a reason to forget about Christmas. After all, Christmas is not about us - it is about HIM! Merry Christmas to all!

LOL! What situation? You're getting shut down, they are going to a franchise model, do the math? It's better to collect royalties and not have incompetent leadership.

Where was all the security, management and cameras during these "walk away" (stolen) items disappearance events in Cincinnati? Most nps have a shuttle truck and warehouse supervisor. Looks like that supe must be doing other things than their job! Wondering if that person was on the phone or computer doing personal stuff? Makes you think........... Good luck finding another job that lets this kind of stuff go on.

Anybody (@kurtbag190) know if tv's are still walking out the side door at Cincinnati NPS? "Fixed" Junked out units were taken from reclaim area and put into employees vehicles that are parked/backed up close to that side door. Oh the things cameras catch if the videos are watched! Agreed, Many of us were put on hold while parts room people did their radio contest call ins on all the phone lines. They won some pretty cool stuff for themselves! Think this string will be forwarded to RAC Corp in Plano! Looks like there be some 'splanin to do 190!

At Cincy 190 appl techs would fiX up "G'ed or junked out units" and give m out as favors. How's that freezer workin good ole' Don you former shuttle trucker? Any you appl techs gettin your fill of deer off of good ole' Don's farm out there in that there Ohio country side? Don T. never liked them damn deer on his property anyway, cept to eat from his newly fixed up "G" (LMFAO!) freezer! Shuttle truckers made special home deliveries to some peoples crypts on their way out to their routes also wit fixed up G's. An wats up wit those half full or empty backpacs that people bring in at the start of the shift, and purtty darn full if not buldging at the seams wit laptops an cell fones and parts when they go home for the day. Makes u wunder WATS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Better watch those RAC NPS cameras purrty darn close in the past and future! Might be shocked who's doing wat!

Hey parts dept at NPS 00190 Cincinnati Ohio! You all still tying up the company phone lines by robo dialing (8 lines) and using your personal cell phones to call radio stations to be on local radio contest lines????? Kinda' cheating the intentions of a call in local radio contest line. This was a daily morning ritual with these employees. Us techs could not make calls to tech support, suppliers RAC stores, our customers who paid the salaries of those buffons who won trips out of the country, go to concerts and other winnings that they did on company time using company phone equipment! Heaven help us when you need help to do RAC NPS company business during their "call in to win" contests! Need a part outed or paperwork completed for us techs, either get and do it yourself or just wait. Maybe if the parts room concentrated on company business rather than selfish wants RAC NPS could still be going forward in the future at NPS 00190. Thanks guys and gals in the parts room! Oh, by the way DH, SC, FB and BH (DH's husband) don't know if 00190 management or RAC Corporate management know what you do on company time but all employees here know you did it and we don't like it. Very one sided. Ever share your winnings with other departments or employees????? Doubt it, Unless it is with a friend they have working here. Any questions on phone calls on winning and rewards from radio contests to these employees can easily be confirmed by past phone records on calls outgoing, call the "country" radio stations in Cincinnati over the past years they keep records of past winners, and of course the good old IRS who we are sure have names and other personal information on high dollar contest winning like your trip to Mexico DH and FB! Shame on you folks for taking advantage of your positions at Rent-A-Center, Inc. National Product Service 00190 in Cincinnati (Amelia) Ohio. Anyone have other information like this to share with RAC Corporate headquarters in Plano Texas or "BUDDY'S" in Orlando Florida the new owners?

I personally witnessed physical and s-xual assaults. Management denied that it happened even when they were involved with breaking up the scuffle. We were told at one time to save jobs, the entire shop except for drivers could only work 37 hrs a week, later to find that the unflushables were getting overtime. This all took place in just a 3 yr period. Glad im gone.

You are all better of witout rac, the company is ran by a bunch of people that know nothing about business, don't even throw in the word ethics. It's not IF but when rac will be out of business. GO out and enjoy life without having to worry about fake numbers, unattainable expectations and management that could care less about it's coworkers.

WOW!!!!!! I must have missed the money train!!! I worked for RAC NPS for over 10 years. Did not get my remaining 2 weeks of vacation and only got 2 weeks of severance pay (I was let go same day I was informed of my layoff). Maybe RAC just forgot, I'll hold my breath till they pony up the extra 8 weeks of severance pay. Anyone that was layed off recently want to share an oxygen tank while waiting with me for the extra severance pay??? Good luck to all of the former employees that have been layed off from Rent-A-Center, Inc. National Product Service 22 service centers over the past few years.

Rac has a poor severance package, they max out at 12 weeks, if you worked 20 or 30 years for them they give you 12 weeks. Wow, what a joke.

Looks like they will get severance pay based on time served at RAC NPS. Some employees could get upwards of $12,000.00 if they stay until their final day that could extend to January 31 2019. Most could get the RAC company standard of 2 weeks severance pay. Severance pay is based on an average of 1 weeks pay over a 12 month period. Any unused vacation and personal time could be forfeited by the company. Techs and office workers at NPS could be let go as early as today's date to 30 days. Shuttle drivers and warehouse employees will probably stay on the longest. Meetings are currently ongoing with the new ownership management team to organize the closure of all 22 RAC NPS centers. This group of the liquidation team was on scene this past Monday. NPS is a separate repair, warehouse, and distribution division of Rent A Center Inc.. Many warehouse items will be auctioned off.

Post ID: @Wbf8KN0-3mla

True, RAC National Product Service is closing it's repair centers nationwide. This is the repair division of Rent A Center. Layoffs have been ongoing for over one year. There will be layoffs starting November 19 2018 until the closing of NPS is complete on December 31 2018. These NPS employees will not be offered any employment within the RAC system. NPS Employees and areas affected are management, office and parts room, shuttle drivers, shipping and receiving, warehouse and repair techs.

They are getting ready to franchise all stores. 90% of SMs will not be able to handle that responsibility and it will cost rac big.

I wonder if this move of getting everything serviced via third party will bite them later on. What horrible timing for the workers, right before the holidays...
