Tyler Fading Away

"Things fade away 'till it's over

That's what they say"

The Tyler office is moving to new space; supposedly to save money and profit from the sale of the 5th Street campus. But it will also hide the fact that we are but a shell of what we once were; one of the most competent and efficient engineering and fabrication companies in North America.

More retirements each week, and others "going across town". Is it a coincident that the day after Former-colleague Co. announces new job openings, several people take an afternoon off for vacation? Sad.

Agreed, you are stupid. Typical management for Houston. Do not have a clue what is going on. I have seen your estimators, schedulers and engineers. Half of them cannot even speak English. People like AC, PS and JB should not be in management. They should be in politics. I glad my stint in Houston was temporary. What a joke for company.

So much hostility towards Tyler. Not sure if it is ignorance or just jealousy. I no longer work at the Tyler office but when I did. I remember always getting sent to a job site to help fix the engineering on a Houston Job.

Agreed- stupid people have no business enlightening others. Especially since you seem to forget all the lawsuits spanning decades against Tyler (as recently as CVR - can’t even copy a standard design).

The funniest thing I heard was that Tyler was trying to land jobs in India. Talk about a disconnect with reality.

What you think in Tyler vs reality is always entertaining though. Hopefully you’ll be around to keep entertaining us.

My advice is you don't want to be the last one on a sinking ship. Otherwise all the good jobs will be filled up.

Sorry can not enlighten you, you cannot fix stupid.

Cannot enlighten someone who knows everything but does not really know anything. Would recommend getting out of your office and smelling the roses.

Let me ask you a question or two. How did Reficar go, any lawsuits? What about Cameron and Freeport? Bottom line is Houston cannot quote, sell, schedule, engineer and execute a project. All they can do is push people around.

The headline is correct, Tyler is fading away. All the good people are gone, all you have left is politicians. I know I am glad I am no longer there. God speed1

Please enlighten us. What’s going on? I’d love to stay with my team but it isn’t looking good. I hope something opens up for me across town just like you. Good luck everyone.

Fake News! Spin it, must be in Lummus management! Talking about not knowing what is going on.

Didn’t let these guys out of Tyler much to realize that everywhere they did work they weren’t awarded repeat work. And yes going back to the Howebaker days so stop whining about how cbi destroyed Tyler. Worst engineering I ever encountered.

The statement looks like a joke - "But it will also hide the fact that we are but a shell of what we once were; one of the most competent and efficient engineering and fabrication companies in North America."

LOL!

Nice but clueless people in Tyler. Enjoyed the people but they sure drank the howebaker coolaid. That was decades ago but Tyler didn’t see it. Glad I got out when I could.

I really enjoyed my time at Tyler and learned a lot. It is shame the way things have eroded over time. May God be with us all.
