Thread regarding NXP layoffs

Qualcomm has no interest in pursuing the acquisition of NXP

I imagine some people thought that Qualcomm's interest in acquiring NXP would revive after the meeting of the Chinese and the US President, in which it was stated that Chinese authorities stated that they are willing to reconsider approving this acquisition, but what happened was just the opposite of that. Qualcomm officials stated that the deal is dead for them and that there is no interest in this acquisition at this moment.

I guess it will rise over $80 then drop down under $70 because their product is not competitive

@pqwb u have absolutely no idea about business. If you follow the world trade market, you'll see there's a stock crash coming. It's true that almost all stock trades are controlled by AI in the last 20 years but this time is different. Could be worse than 2000 dotcom crash. Just look at nasdaq and scale it to 20 years and you'll see what I mean

See~every time when it goes down under $80, it will rise back soon. That means someone is controlling it because they hope to be bought again though their chips s--- enough

If you guys are CEO now and you feel stressful because you must reach your business target before your contract expired. The best way is to buy a company but They was buying a wrong company, don’t know why He didn’t research about it.

No, they won't. Spending money on this kind of merger is foolish. The war between US and China is not done yet as the Huawei's director can testify. NXP will not allow it to happen. QCOM lost more than 2 bil in the past attempt. NXP lost even more due to freezing of the investment plans.

Salaries in N are nothing special. They used to be. N is just a company going nowhere -- no plan and no leadership. It will not drive the Auto sector or anything else so you have to wonder why ANY one would acquire it. You could bundle the microcontroller business and sell it to microchip and at that point the rest would collapse.

Noticed when N’s price drops below $80, it will goes up back to $80 immediately every time. (You can review its history). Looks like it’s controlled and held to wait for being acc again

Indeed N has nothing to beat others now.

Q wouldn’t be stupid again! Because in the past they didn’t have enough to check N’s details in every persective. Luckily the deal failed or they’ll find the king of vendor in auto is Renesas(best quality with over 30 years experiences) not N.

In power and industrial applications, the king of vendor is TI (Microchip is 2nd), for computing and consumer applications, STMicro is the King and has been winning over 50% market share including IoT and AI (their power application is also good). So what’s N’s advantage? I think only one advantage in N is their salary is very high
