In my humble opinion, it takes more energy to be negative. Nothing, good or bad, lasts forever. I am proud of my contributions to Ellie Mae and bow out gracefully. I will take the experience and knowledge I learned at Ellie Mae and run with it. I am grateful for the friendship I made with my colleagues and clients at Ellie Mae. The opportunities are out there and the sky is the limit. The world is incredibly small and we’ll cross path again somehow. Until then, best wishes and good luck to us all.

Layoffs right before sale to Thoma Bravo’s acquisition. What a dirty dirty tricks! Shame shame shame!
It was announced that Ellie Mae is being acquired by Thoma Bravo.... Now it's clear they butchered so many jobs so they could meet the financial requirements for the sale. Several people who were cut were on medical leave and I'm sure the company will say that has nothing to do with why they were let go....really?? And with the company going private under the terms of the sale, there is less incentive to remain since RSUs and ESPP will no longer be offered.
And yes, the area hardest hit by these cuts was SUPPORT! Our customers deserve so much more and it has become an embarrassment to be associated with this organization. There are a lot of great people still remaining but who knows for how long. Either Thoma Bravo will do their normal culling or people will get sick of it and just quit.
I wonder how Sig and Limin are feeling about their baby right about now....
66 people across several disciplines, hardest hit was front line support, followed by ETS support tier II.
There were total of 66 this second round with a few in the first round back in August 2018. Possibly more rounds are on the horizon for 2019.
It would be nice to know eventually just how extensive the force reduction was
