Have there been any layoffs?

According to some on this site, the layoffs will be next week.
But if experience tells me anything, they'll be rolling throughout the month of January on Tuesdays until the earnings call.
Experience also tells me Product Management and Contrail will be the least scathed, as they seem to have a halo of protection around them since forever.
Anyone know if the org changes & layoffs will be next week or the week after? Any one know anything?
IBM is laughing all the way to the Bank!
On the surface, deals like this with an IT contractor sound great due to cost savings.
In the new paradigm of everything 'as a service', out-sourcing, and usage-based pricing, this deal from IBM is no different. Many CxOs would fall for this trap. On the long run, the price the end users pay through loss of productivity and poor service is just not worth the perceived cost savings. It is a gamble, and not one Juniper should have made at this time.
If RR and team made fixing IT their #1 priority, The Board and Juniper have other urgent issues to address now:
-
Define a clear strategy that will make JNPR successful. If Cloud is the way, that's ok, but stick to it.
-
Transform the management style to protect and take care of the most valuable asset, the people.
-
Fire, not layoff, the individuals who have failed at Juniper with poor decision making, incompetence, ignorance, and arrogance. The list is long and the board will need to take care of business from the top down.
-
Stop buying companies and running them down into the ground.
-
Stop the freaking layoffs... people are not working, not productive and cannot focus on their jobs when you layoff good people all the time. This is ridiculous!
IT department sold to IBM. 70% of IT employees will get an IBM offer letter this March.

I wonder if the CIO has connections at IBM. Possibility of under the table deals?
Any idea which product management groups are going to get hit?
Juniper is a sinking ship - Leave it as early as possible
Wouldn't it be hilarious if IBM decides to replace all the neworking equipment with Cisco equipment?
Yep, the CIO just put out the information about the IBM contract to pretty much support all laptops, infrastructure, apps, etc. Some current IT employees will be retained by to deal with compliance and design. Some IT personnel will be retained at big three offices (Quincy, Bangalore, and Sunnyvale) to ensure we still eat our own dog food when it comes to networking equipment.
IBM Multi year contract to outsource ALL (?) of Juniper IT. All IT personnel have a 12 month contract option with IBM.
