Today, EDIT stock is down 20% after the CEO announced resignation. Similar drop can happen to VMW after PG official announcement.

Just overheard a conversation, this is really happening, Feb 1st, it will be announced. Negoatiations between PG and MD didn't go well. This will coincide with the layoff announcements too, not sure how the stock will react, fingers crossed !!

PG still considering going back to intel as ceo<<

We will come to know only after the market does; stock will have a steep decline again if it were to happen.

SP is biding time for CEO or CMO job at a bigger Bay Area company. VMware is just a stepping stone.

His bosom buddies in Modi and BJP re-election campaigns need him to be "in" at FaceBook or Twitter before Indian elections in May.

Since Wednesday, VMW stock recovered about 5% after a deal between PG and MD for PG to continue for some more time.

PG and the rest of the.execs sold a lot of their shares, ever since MD was in the picture, lots of orders are now stuck in backlog. PG pdobly dont jive with MD. MC and SP sold some of their shares too

It's got be SP. Brahmin CEO's in Bay Area is in vogue.

So who would take over? SP or hand picked by MD? Maybe Tucci is coming back to ruin another.

It's all about appeasing MD. SilverLake is trying hard for additional funds from us.

Last quarter, loss for Pivotal stock makes no sense to show on our books.

I am not saying this is or isnt accurate. However, I find it hard to believe that with the 11 Billion dollar payout, VMW and the board didn't put some kind of agreement or verbiage prohibiting any further attempts to take over VMW. I know with all the smart people at VMW they didn't give away 11B only to deal with MD continuing to come after us a month later

I think PG has been protecting us for sometime and shielding us. Looks MD wants to exploit us further.

dumb question, what is PG?

That would be unfortunate. MD is a douche and Pat is a great guy.

Seems likely. Him and Mr Dell do not seem to get along.
