Does anyone see the need for this group? Where I work the only time I see their van move is when they need to go shopping on company time, or going to an unmanned CO to go on a netflix binge. This is also the only place I know that has a prem group, I don't believe the Qwest side has one? Just curious because they're the only techs that weren't targeted for packages, but is the most non-value added group.

To the guy making ASSumptions about how CST may behave when presented a downed PBX in Vegas. Your an arrogant individual, that wears blinders. I've got new for you ACE I'm a CST, and ill run circles around you telephone company BMO a-- !! With a blindfold on, and a hand tied behind my back !! I have over 35 years REAL WORLD business telecom under my belt. I came here to retire without those headaches. I have forgotten more than you know about BMO skippy. And I am a "simple CST" Jus sayin
I am paid for what I can do when I absolutely have to
In our area, some of these guys are always vusy some aren't. Seems like the same one or two always busy and same ones aren't. Personally i can't complain because they alway help me out with tough DSL problems or ither tough troubles.
At least in my area there are one or two who have no problem grabbing a bucket truck and helping us out in CST.
I have talked to BMO guys who wonder the same thing. Non would be surprised to get the ax.
I guess if they want to train CSTs on 911 equipment, hosted voice, fiber, routers, RAD installs etc, they could easily get rid of the few BMO Techs left.
Would love to see the look on the CSTs face the first time they have to walk into one of the hotels here in Vegas and have to fix a down PBX.
Quit targeting people's jobs with your dramatic gibberish. Shame on you.
