Ok so everyone needs a form of management but for DMS to have 9-10 stores that they really do not contribute true success to instead just an email or text to pressure stores to produce numbers that were obtainable a few years ago seems like a waste. RAC want the numbers but with no new merchandise and a pond that’s been fished threw it’s just impossible! I’ve watched so many DMs come into a store bark there orders demotivate employees and walk out. They work 5 hours a day if that and expect employees store management to work 8-8 daily while they sit at home and send out the there threatening texts/ emails. Something has to change someone needs to recognize the ones who are in the stores busting butt daily 12 hours a day. We hire new people off the street for more than what our long term employees make. Sincerely a dedicated long term employee who only wants to see things get better.

Yeah, lots of people don’t want, like, or respect BOSSES.
LEADERS however are much different, and RAC doesn’t have many of them at all.
Who in the hell takes up for a company who’s changed CEO’s like you hopefully change your underwear anyway?!?!?!?

Yeah, the person who aggressively stated what they had to say is what RAC likes. They are one of RAC’s finest since they love overly aggressive employees who don’t mind slacking off for a paycheck and lowering their standards for a company who has obviously been failing over many years.
Most employees who remain there don’t see (or have) any future outside of this dysfunctional company. So let’s be nice to them for they know not what they do!
But yes, leaving for something better is the best thing. While they bark their orders, act like you’re doing something and study a skill while they leave you in the store by yourself so you can find a better job like I did.
Y'all need to quit if you don't like the company you work for. Out here posting sh*t anonymously thinking this is going to change anything. Either you change your mindset or you go change companies. Complaining won't benefit you or anyone. You only hurt yourself thinking that "voicing your opinion" on a site like this will change anything. Outta here with your BS...
The pressure is so intense it makes good people make dumb decisions and creates an environment of fake numbers and low employee morale.

I have had the opportunity to work with an amazing DM while I’ve been with the company. They would do anything to support the staff and move them in the right direction. Sounds to me you have a poor DM if you feel this way.
The DMs ignore e-mails from corporate office. They will send you e-mail if they ask about something they want to know but other than that - good luck if they reply.
As a DM myself, I would like to say whoever is over you I'm sorry that is your experience as for myself and my team, I work beside my coworkers. I work with my coworkers. I work for my coworkers, my team. I on the other hand have 16 stores but I started just where everyone else did... the bottom. Please dont assume every DM is horrible and should be done away with. You unfortunately have had a bad experience with a bad boss, not a true leader that you deserve. Hang in there! Your time is coming! You will have a voice!

Ya sounds like you must be one of those DMs they are speaking about. Everyone needs a boss but what they are pointing out is the lack of DMs contributing to the success of stores.
Sounds like a bunch of whining to me, some people just don't like to have a boss to be accountable to. Go open your own rent to own.
