Seagate Springtown got absolutely trashed in the most recent focal survey,it wasnt the first time this has happened and wont be the last.Management have been scratching their heads wondering why the results were so bad.The geniuses that are the management,in their infinite wisdom have paid a company alot of money (supposedly without corporate knowing) to find out the problem. Why didnt management take the easy route and just ask the employees what the problems are?? Underpaid ,understaffed and overworked is the answer to the managements question.If management think that being more smiley and pleasant is the answer then they are in for a rude awakening.

@XKc1Zck-old..Jesus get a life mate.Get your d!ck out of Seagates a$$.The guy doing the workshops admitted he was brought in because if the poor focal survey results.Nowhere in the original post did the person mention they were an operator.30 odd hours bonus is far from generous.Are you management?? If so it proves that it bothers you when workers have a platform to tell the truth to other seagate employees.Seagate have always underpaid. They wont say who they benchmark against!! Thats another grievance. I wont leave.I will just continue doing my job with little effort and causing whatever damage i can.
Yeah, right !! Why don’t you go get a janitorial job over your current job? Or maybe go join your buddy cleaning rooms and take a lower pay and be happy.
Last time I was staying at the City the lad doing housekeeping said he was much happier making less and cleaning rooms than when he worked at STST...
That is not true at all.STST when compared globally came out better than most,any of the negative things where more culture related ie people in this part of the world generally speaking are complainers As for being underpaid we bench mark Operators pay with other jobs in NI by comparing the skill sets and qualifications needed to do a particular job and the availability of personnel in the area( last jobs advertised there where 27 applicants per position available) As for being ‘over worked ‘ my sides are sore laughing.Take yourself off for a week or two as a labourer etc that will wake you guys up to reality.As for understaffed ,do as much as you can only, we meet our shipments weekly with no issue so we must have enough.As for pay did you not this week get paid a very generous bonus?,which we did not have to pay out.Attrication rates are 2% ie 98 out of 100 people have been with us 7.5 years or more, why are they staying??.The fence around Seagate is to keep people out not in, if you are disgruntled please jog on and do not waste you precious life doing something that you dislike,at the end of the day we will do just fine without you and would be mutually beneficial for all of us.The sad reality is that you have no where else to go where you would get it so handy.Sorry to lay it out as it is to you .We will reconsider you grievances on consensus day but do not be expecting to much.Perhaps the shift change rota will help you?Remember what you do in comparison to others out there and you will see there is no greener grass!!Jog on Pal
