Thread regarding Wabtec layoffs

Wabtec Has No Obligation

Slawson will push and push until GE sells the plant , done . The overpaid spoiled followers are not smart enough to realize Wabtec owes nothing to them , but can offer them their re-employment . Let them work elsewhere for 14 - 18 an hour like many area skilled workers . Bye Bye big trucks , boats , and hunting camps .

The execs recently awarded themselves and GE Tran execs with over $100 million in bonuses. Now they show a loss of over $4 million. With contract negotiations starting, i’m sure the workers will be blamed as being too costly instead of looking in the mirror at the real problem.

A lot of hate for labor unions I see. We're watching the destruction it the middle class. Labor unions built this country. The workers of this great nation deserve the right to safe working conditions and a liveable wage. Bottom line. If these oober rich corporations can afford to pay hundreds of millions in bonuses to their CEOs, then the working people should not have to take concessions to be "competitive". That's the truth. It doesn't matter what political party you affiliate with. Too long wages for the working class people have been stagnant. Too many working people border on poverty. I commend anyone who stands up for what is right. And that's what the UE 506 did.
