When Philips split into two companies; that was the start of both companies heading for disaster. But yet the higher-ups in the US kiss butt to keep their jobs, sacrificing their direct reports. Can you imagine if the VP's, SVP's, Executives were paid much less, a few "workers" might be able to keep their jobs. The decision to move the US headquarters of Healthcare to a new location in Cambridge was wasted money. Staying in Andover would have saved hundreds of jobs. Corporations don't care about the average worker and neither does your manager. Do your 40 hours and leave. You are going to get laid off anyway.
