Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Unresponsive technical recruiter

Since Jan last week till date, I have had 5 rounds of interviews (telephonic and in-person). They would occur randomly - suddenly two rounds over a period of three days and then again a lull for two weeks and so on.

Recruiter doesn't respond to emails or phone calls no provides proper feedback. Are there more rounds left or is it done? Are they considering more candidates or am I rejected? Some information would have been good..

Is the recruiter that I am dealing with in India the only one like this or are the others too of the same kind ?

What has been your experience?

New rate is 7% from the hiring manager during face2face interview. After I receiving verbal offer, I had to pay via Bitcoin in advance of written offer to US based Indian manager. 2 % was a guaratee not getting impacted in laidoff.

there are lots of positions being made available for already targeted candidates. Protocol is to publish a position before hiring the targeted candidate. i agree though that VMware recruiters are not very responsive.

May be s/he got laidoff. Or "Keeping the candidate warm" while they interview another candidate who fits the ethnioc mold better.
