Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

I didn't see news about layoffs any where

No published news in finance.yahoo.com or externally. Is there any internal update regarding layoffs.

Not sure if Juniper announced number of layoffs, or the routine layoffs every year to give pay hike/bonus to rest.

I agree Juniper has issues but you seem to be obsessed with FAANGs as you keep posting about them. I know you're the same person because of the style of your writing. I can only guess that you spend way too much time on Blind and read too much about total comp (TC) of $400K to $500K for people with 4 years of experience. Yes, these compensation numbers are real, mostly due to RSU values, but FANGs are an outlier and not many people can get in. If you're a SWE go ahead and spend your obligatory 6 months of Leetcode prep to take your shot. If you don't get in try again after the 1 year cool down period. However, please don't let the envy of peers making more money than you destroy your mental health.

@XbzkUE7-1mfn 3% pay raise eh? And still the constant monthly stealth layoff threat.

Here's a comparison.

1) A FAANG and their ilk CONSISTENTLY gives YEARLY pay raises of 3-8%.

2) T athen you get stock refreshes in the tens of thousands for regular employees (Apple's is huge on this respect). At J you have to be a top performer for a token amount of stock that NEVER appreciates (compare 5, 10 year stock appreciation with a FAANG on yearly stock refreshes of 40k for a humble bloke...That adds up to a lot vs J)!

3) Additionally, the periodic yearly bonus is CONSISTENTLY 100%, as promised for your pay grade. None of this ~70%? BS.

And again, you have the threat of monthly stealth layoffs and dealing with a toxic culture where your skills stagnate/lose relevance to the point of eventually being unemployable. The prom queen is now the 400lb girl who nobody wants any more (not that there's anything wrong with that, btw wink).

It's truly laughable in a "WTF am I doing here, am I an id--t?!" sense.

I thought the exactly same. To give pay rise, they did layoff. They could have set goals for management and organization that they reward employees only if they meet target. Why they are paying bonuses.

Juniper did more than 10 layoffs in last 5 years. Time for management to seriously this long term plans for employees rather doing layoffs once in every six months. The fat is still there.

It’s small, guys. About 1%. Raise pool will be 3%. Which is The best in a couple of years.

No doubt. This is the typical Juniper way - scam everyone. Fool the world. Why doesn't the leadership reallize they are only fooling themselves?

It’s a stealth layoff. Of course not announced to keep bad publicity from juniper!
