Absolutely correct this cengage cult is going down. The rot was obvious years ago after witnessing a female RVP get canned for banging a subordinate, of course the subordinate was being exploited yet both were canned. If she were a man it would've been a multi million dollar s-x harassment case but because this organization is run by effeminate men and old wine aunt sorority girls flash forward a year and they hire the nasty broad back again in a talent development role. The DM's are only in position via attrition and only role is to push nonsense busy work, the KAM ranks have been filled with worthless pearson strategic hires who can't do anything except promote their awful personalties and exhibit their ignorance.

The cannibal marketing scheme AKA unlimited was an awful joke from the very beginning, a stupid response to a market that was speaking loud and clear to anyone who would listen, 'fix your terrible platforms and we'll give it a try, evolve the software and we'll work with you...' but this was ignored by the mo--ns at the top and the DM's at the bottom. What a joke. This corrupt POS is going down and Hansen needs to go down with it, what frauds, a fake publisher employing wine aunt wh--es and pimp tactics....

Cengage is a fake-azzed company that's been run like a cult ever since the numbers went south years ago. CEO Hansen has never turned in a winning quarterly report in higher ed, ever. WAY too much dead-weight in mid-management. Sadly, it's the footsoldiers who will pay the biggest price for years of miscalculations but isn't that the way it always is?

It truly is cult-like these days. Started to get really, really bad in that regard about the time I left, some 4 years ago now. Talk to Cengage field reps, they truly believe they are tearing up the world of higher education via Unlimited and that the company has left the past behind and has sailed into new, highly-profitable numbers . . . when in fact they reported another 5% loss in the last corporate call, fired their director of sales, and now who even knows what is to come during the next investor call in a few weeks. So ridiculous and silly.

the cengage cult is starting to administer the kool aid and the brainwashed id--ts aren't even aware... Sad, but then again these folks at Cengage are not creative critical thinkers, they are merely obnoxious followers...

It was definitely about the lack of use it's getting. The SF office is an innovative space that no one is using because so many people in the area work remotely. It didn't make sense to have it if no one is using it and the Boston office is still moving to a new location in the Seaport that will be the new "edTechy" location.

It's completely true-- I have first hand knowledge. The entire office is closing and a few people are being offered relocation to Ohio or Boston.

Haven't seen anything in the news on this. Do you have a source of some kind? The SF locations is one of their newer spaces, one that they tout highly as proof that they are an actual edTECH company. Strange that this HQ should go while someplace like Mason remains. This isn't the first massive cut we'll see, Cengage is heading into very troubled waters ...l

Anybody knows how many people will be let go as a result of this? It didn't sound like a lot, and in reality savings make sense if so many weren't actually working out of the office.
