Many good people at the company that has a lot to offer, but I feel a lot of their skills are staying unused due to a system that’s turned thing at the company to a stet where it’s pretty chaotic. No use having all those resources when they are not steered and pointed in the right direction. That’ the main reason why we’re moving at a slow pace compared to the competition. If something isn\ done about his soon, I fear we’ll be starting to feel the consequences very soon.

This is NDS 2.0 with all its useless management and other shortcomings. I feel sad for the video processing group which is suffering under these clowns.
We started at a cracking pace shedding some major deadwood, a lot of which has been rotting away in the US for some time.
Rumors of more redundancies this week but the NDS style nepotism continues unabated with even more family and friends joining. Some are good, some are completely useless and remind us of those worst times at NDS.

Appart from sounding defeated, do you guys propose anything ? I mean, what would you do if this was your business ? Analyse the problem from this angle and it will always serve you well.
That being said, I think the company is delivery what the customers want, for the time being. Unfortunalely, we can't undo the losses of market shares of the last years under the Cisco leadership.
The company needs to position itself to be in the right place for the future of digital video, while delivering the current customer need. I'm hopeful to see new product being rolled out in the near future ... As long as I don't loose hope, I'll stick around :P
My view is that Synamedia is supporting the status quo of the TV industry (and hoping it will stay that way) betting on smart cards and old technology. (why still depending on HW while careless CA offers all the benefits). We are on the eve of massive disruption like the iphone disrupted the telco industry. Leading this change is of course a bit risky, what if you are wrong. But with 5G acceleration to the cloud will happen and I totally miss a vision and innovation build around that. I have not seen any whitepapers that show thought leadership and deep knowledge of the latest technology. I only hear 'the biggest video service provider bla bla' Mediakind can say the same, Kaltura as well, depends just how you define biggest. Soon it turns out we have very little new to offer and just selling lots of empty words.
