Thread regarding Coca-Cola Co. layoffs

2019 Lay Offs Begin At Coca Cola

Lays began today at the beverage company giant, impacting several departments in the financial sector. This move comes as a surprise to many insiders who were blindsided by the releases.

Of course this information is not receiving much attention from the media. Regardless of the important fact that the organization made BILLIONS from tax breaks. Sounds like GM!!!!!

They stopped paying incentives, no overtime, raised heath care benefits, poor quality eqpt for warehouse and sales, reduced deliveries to customers, etc.. saving them millions. So when they report their financials to Coca Cola North America they receive $$$$. Then they use that money to buy more beer companies for their beer division. You can find this news on Google. There are a lot of talented people employed by Reyes Coca Cola who's lives have been turned upside down while they continue to run this Bottler into the ground. So Sad. Stop buying Coke products.

I was "impacted" as well. There are more coming too. Another manager friend of mine just got his walking papers after 10 years which is odd because of her 10 years I too was let go so they can focus on restructuring. Other managers who are close to retirement age stayed and others who don't even know their job s are staying as well. Tax breaks for "diversity" in the workplace may have played a part but they will never give up their secret formula about how people (numbers) are selected to be redeployed into the workforce. Crazy! I will NEVER be as loyal to another employer, it doesn't pay off. Give up vacation time, family time, weekends to make sure the job was complete, on time and correct just isn't worth it anymore.

Coke treats their employee as a commodity. A recent layoff saved the company 800 million. Coke only cares about money

Why would you think the layoffs were going to stop?

Correct no media attention and no numbers of how many people impacted, truly bizarre.
